Several hectares of land adjoin the center, which we are transforming into a diverse and edible ecosystem. We apply and test principles from various agricultural methods, we draw on the experience of others, but most of all we learn from our own practice. It is an interesting process of discovery and learning that has no end.

Nature is a perfect partner, but it does not do all the work for us and often has a different opinion. We dream about a maintenance-free system, but have as yet quite a way to go. Staying outdoors doing something that makes sense to us and brings joy and benefit is worth the effort.
We cook from what we grow
Our goal is to be self-sufficient. For most of the year we are using what we grow. Vegetables, fruits, herbs, garnishes and wild vegetables are utilized in the kitchen when preparing meals at the centre.
We have already planted and fenced in the orchard, which includes a number of old varieties of apple, pear, plum, cherry and other fruit trees that we did not even know existed. It also includes a row of shrubs (serviceberry, dogwood, aronia, oleaster, Sibirian peashrub and hazel). We did not forget about different types of walnuts and chestnuts. Along the fence we planted a variety of raspberries, blackberries, currants.
Vegetables and Grains
We fenced in most of the upper half of the property. We are in a wildlife migration corridor (deer, fox, wild pig, rabbit etc.). It could be pictured as "what you do not protect is as if you didn't plant it"). Bob enthusiastically dove into growing vegetables and even grains. Currently we offer a course on Edible Natural Garden and Wild Herbs in cooperation with our friend Honza Vopršal and his encyclopedic knowledge.

WWOOF/Voluntary Work Exchange
Agriculture is a seasonal affair. When the season comes, one is not bored. From April to October we organize WWOOF (willing workers on organic farm) weekends. They're actually voluntary work exchange. Working in the garden and fields in exchange for food and lodging.
